Iowa State's Georges Niang goes to Indiana Pacers in 2nd round of NBA Draft

NEW YORK (KWWL) -

The Indiana Pacers took Iowa State Forward Georges Niang with the 50th pick in the 2016 NBA Draft.

Niang was a staple in the Cyclone's lineup all four years at Iowa State, averaging more than 30 minutes per game in the last three seasons.

The 6'9" senior averaged more than 20 points and six rebounds a game in his last season in Ames.

Niang joins Caris LaVert, taken in the first round, as the other pick going to Indiana.
