Iowa State head men’s basketball coach Steve Prohm announced today the addition of Tennessee transfer Ray Kasongo. Kasongo will have two seasons of eligibility remaining after sitting out the 2016-17 season per NCAA transfer rules.

“We are excited to add Ray to our program,” Prohm said. “He has great size and athleticism and we are looking forward to working with him during his sit out season as we continue to develop his skill set.”

Kasongo, a 6-8, 245-pound forward from Toronto, Ontario, saw limited action in 22 games for the Vols in 2015-16. He averaged 1.4 points and 1.5 rebounds in 5.5 minutes per game in his first season at UT after transferring from JUCO national power College of Southern Idaho.
