Iowa gas prices fell 2 cents a gallon in past week

Gas prices in Iowa have changed direction in the past week.

According to GasBuddy, prices in Iowa have fallen two cents per gallon in the last week to an average of $2.31 a gallon Sunday. The national average has fallen 4.5 cents per gallon in the past week to $2.34 a gallon.

GasBuddy reports prices Sunday were 43.2 cents per gallon lower than the same day one year ago, and are 6.4 cents per gallon higher than one month ago. The national average has increased 6.1 cents per gallon during the last month.


GasBuddy says prices in and around Iowa are as follows:
 Quad Cities- $2.21/g, down 0.6 cents per gallon from last week's $2.22/g.
 Des Moines- $2.47/g, down 5.6 cents per gallon from last week's $2.53/g.
 Omaha- $2.25/g, down 5.0 cents per gallon from last week's $2.30/g.
