Dustin Johnson Wins U.S. Open; Zach Johnson Finishes tied for 8th

Dustin Johnson has won the 2016 U.S. Open finishing the tournament at five under par.  Johnson who started the day in third shot a 68 in the final round to finish four strokes ahead of the three players tied for second.  Johnson was assessed a penalty stroke on the fifth hole when his putter made contact with his ball during a practice shot, causing it to move.  After sinking a birdie putt on 18 Johnson was informed he would be docked a penalty stroke, though it proved not to matter.

Cedar Rapids native Zach Johnson finished the day shooting a 71 in the final round, that was good enough to place him a two over and tie him for 8th place.

Last years champion Jordan Spieth finished tied for 37th at nine over par.

The win gives Johnson his first Major Championship win.
