Senate Democrats conduct nearly 15-hour filibuster on gun control

He started at 11:21 a.m. Wednesday, and he and his Democratic colleagues wrapped up shortly after 2 o'clock this morning.

Connecticut Sen. Chris Murphy, who's been frustrated with congressional inaction on gun violence, led a nearly 15-hour filibuster before yielding the floor, pledging that he would press hard for more legislation.

Murphy spoke of the 2012 massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary school in his state, and said the failure by Congress to do anything about gun violence has been "unconscionable."
