Airlines are doing a better job of arriving on-time and consumer complaints are falling, according to new data released today from the Department of Transportation,

The DOT says 84.5% percent of flights on the largest 12 United States airlines arrived on time during the month of April. That's better than the previous month -- and up from 81.8% in April of last year. Hawaiian Airlines and Delta Air Lines were the best at staying on schedule.

The DOT also says consumer complaints about domestic airlines fell -- from 1,083 in April 2015 to 870 this April.
