OSAGE, Iowa (AP) -- Authorities have charged an Osage woman with vehicular homicide and operating while under the influence for a fatal March crash.

The Mason City Globe Gazette reports that 42-year-old Shannon Henaman was arrested on a warrant earlier this week.

Mitchell County Sheriff Greg Beaver says Henaman was driving early in the morning of March 4 when she crashed at the intersection of Kirkwood Avenue and 370th Street.

Her 50-year-old passenger, Theodore McPhail of Osage, was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

Beaver said Henaman has been drinking at the time of the crash.

Henaman is being held in the Mitchell County Jail on $100,000 bail and could not be reached Saturday for comment.

If convicted, Henaman faces up to 25 years in prison.
