DES MOINES (KWWL) -

Charges are now pending against the head of an Iowa daycare.

28-year-old Tiffany McCauley was accused of being four times the legal limit when she crashed her car over the Memorial Day weekend.

She passed two road closed signs before crashing into a large pile of gravel.

A witness was rolling when police arrived.

According to the police report she admitted to drinking, and the officer noticed what appeared to be vomit on her shirt.

Police say she also threw a marijuana pipe out of her car. Police recovered the pipe as evidence.

Pending the results of an alcohol blood test, police plan to charge McCauley with drunk driving, failure to maintain control, and failure to obey a traffic control device.

McCauley is the director of Teddy Bear Town at Scavo High School. It's a daycare operated by Children and Families of Iowa and the Des Moines School District.

Children and Families of Iowa issued a statement saying they were aware of the incident but declined to comment further saying its a "personnel matter."
