CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (AP) - An arbitrator says Rockwell Collins violated a union contract when it outsourced all of its custodial work. Arbitrator Robert Grey upheld a grievance filed by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, ordering the aviation electronics company to make affected employees whole. At issue was Rockwell's decision to eliminate all 62 custodial positions at its Cedar Rapids plant and hire lower-paid contract workers.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - Florida lawmakers approved the use of a $19 million federal grant to improve security ahead of the 2018 elections. Thursday's vote came a week after a federal indictment was released outlining Russian hacking during the 2016 election, including attempts targeting Florida county election offices. Last Friday's indictment said county offices in Georgia and Iowa also were allegedly visited "to identify vulnerabilities."

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - Weak economic growth is expected to continue in rural parts of 10 Plains and Western states, but all the recent trade disputes may shrink profits. Creighton University economist Ernie Goss says the new tariffs are hurting grain prices, which were already weak.

IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) - Authorities have released the name of a man whose body was recovered from the Iowa River in downtown Iowa City. He's been identified as 42-year-old Mohammad Albaghdadi. Test results to confirm the cause and manner of his death are pending. Pedestrians on a bridge spotted the body amid tree branches around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.
