KELLOGG, Iowa (AP) -- A teenage driver has died and his younger brother has been injured in a fiery collision in central Iowa's Jasper County.

The accident was reported a little before 7:40 a.m. Wednesday. The Iowa State Patrol says the boy's westbound car didn't halt a stop sign and then collided with a northbound pickup at a rural intersection north of Kellogg.

Authorities say 16-year-old Trenton Brady was pronounced dead at the scene. His younger brother Ethan was taken to Skiff Medical Center in Newton. Both boys attended Newton High School.

The truck driver was identified as 30-year-old Jarrod McDonald, of Marshalltown. He and two other people in his pickup were hospitalized.
