Primary elections are taking place in Iowa today.

There are two congressional contests. 

The first is in the 4th District, where Republican U.S. Representative Steve King is seeking an 8th term. 

King is challenged by Iowa State Senator Rick Bertrand. 

Another contested race is the Democratic nomination to face Republican Senator Chuck Grassley.

There are four candidates; Tom Fiegen, Patty Judge and Rob Hogg and Bob Krause. 

Polls close in Iowa at 9:00 p.m.
