Posted: Updated:

Alexander Kozak will spend the rest of his life in prison for killing Andrea Farrington. A judge sentencing him to life in prison without the possibility for parole. KWWL will have reaction from the courtroom during the 5:00 and 6:00 news.

A man convicted of killing a woman inside the Coral Ridge Mall is set to be sentenced today.

In April, a jury convicted Alexander Kozak of First Degree Murder in the death of Andrea Farrington. The mandatory sentence is life in prison.

Kozak's attorney is requesting a new trial, claiming prosecutors didn't follow the rules during the first trial. The judge will likely consider the request ahead of Kozak's sentencing.

Andrea Farrington was an employee of the Iowa Children's Museum inside the Coral Ridge Mall.  Kozak was a security guard at the mall who quit earlier that day.
