Clinton says toddler granddaughter Charlotte cheers her on
Hillary Clinton says she has had a secret weapon in her debate prep: her 20-month-old granddaughter.
Clinton told a group of women gathered at a campaign event Saturday in Santa Barbara, California, that her granddaughter, Charlotte, cheers her on before debates at the urging of her daughter, Chelsea Clinton, and her son-in-law, Marc Mezvinsky.
Clinton says that before debates Charlotte would hold up a sign reading, `Good luck, Grandma."
As the child got older she would say those words -- and that, Clinton says, would lift her spirits.
Clinton says the family is looking forward to the birth of Charlotte's sibling.
