The teacher says the test was a joke but parents aren't laughing.

Parents are outraged over test questions given to an 8th Grade class.

The test is being described as racist and inappropriate.

The words "guns" "drugs" and "knocked up" all appear in math problems.

One question asks how many "tricks" have to be worked to pay for a pimp's crack habit.

An English teacher in Mobile, Alabama handed the test out to her class.

She's now on paid administrative leave.

The teacher says the test was a joke.

"It's offensive and it's not stuff I really want my 8th grader having to learn and read about in school, whether it's a joke or not," said one parent who did not want to be identified.

"My son he took a picture of it in class," said Erica Hall, mother. "I couldn't believe it."

According to Snopes, the test is an internet humor piece dubbed the "The L.A. Math Proficiency Test." The test has been circulating for years and has gotten other teachers in trouble.

A fellow Alabama teacher, who didn't want to be identified, says the teacher who gave the test was set to retire this week and was "the epitome of a perfect teacher."
