It appears hackers have turned to Department of Transportation signs with political inspiration.
Someone changed the Texas DOT signs on a Dallas interstate to show political messages. The signs called Donald Trump a "shape-shifting lizard," and encouraged people to vote for Bernie Sanders.
Another sign read, "Work is canceled. Go back home."
"It would seem that the reason behind it is that people think it's funny. It's not really a laughing matter. We're talking about the serious issue that could cause very serious problems if traffic does not get the messages," said a Texas DOT spokesperson.
It's unclear how the signs got changed, and who's responsible.
Leslie Hospitality owner Edwin Leslie says he doesn't have anything to hide, and to prove it he invited the public to view all of the documents, emails, agreements, and financial statements related to the deal at a public meeting this morning.
