Man placed on "Escape Status" from Marshalltown Work Release Facility

MARSHALLTOWN (KWWL) -

The Department of Corrections is looking for a man who did not return to a Marshalltown Work Release Facility. The Department of Corrections says he did not return after an authorized furlough.

Michael Compston is 29 years old and serving a 10-year sentence for Robbery.

Compston has brown hair and eyes, is about 6-feet tall, and weighs around 175 pounds. He has a beck tattoo, piercings in both ears, and his left eyebrow is also pierced.

He was transferred to work release in February after a parole revocation. His original sentence began in 2006.

Anyone with information should call the Marshalltown Police Department or Marshall County Sheriff's Office.
