Joel Booker had three hits, including a two-run double, and Robert Neustrom added three hits as Iowa beat Maryland 11-0 Saturday to advance to the Big Ten title game.

Shane Ritter and Nick Gallagher combined to toss nine shutout innings for the eighth-seeded Hawkeyes (30-25), who are now just one win away from their first league tournament championship.

Ritter opened with three scoreless innings before Gallagher dominated over the final six frames. He allowed just one base hit and a walk and struck out nine.

A pair of singles put Iowa ahead 3-0 in the fourth inning. Booker's double made it 7-0, and he then scored on Austin Guzzo's single. The Hawkeyes tacked on three more runs in the ninth inning.

Iowa racked up 14 base hits with eight of the nine starters recording at least one each. In addition to Booker and Neustrom's three-hit days, Nick Roscetti and Mason McCoy had two hits each. Roscetti, Booker and Neustrom all drove in two runs each.

Nick Cieri had two hits for Maryland (30-27), which didn't record an extra-base hit. Hunter Parson (2-3) took the loss for the Terrapins.

Iowa will play Michigan State or Ohio State for the championship at 1 p.m. Sunday.
