The Waterloo Black Hawks fired off 41 shots, but none reached the back of the net as Tri-City picked up the shutout 3-0. The win gave the Storm a 2-1 lead in the best of 5 series.

Tri-City scored the opening goal on a flurry in front of the net that saw Cale Morris make a pair of sprawling saves, but the third attempt by Wade Allison beat Morris for a 1-0 lead. The Storm added another in the second period as Joe Cippalone posted up behind the net and fed Max Humitz in front for a 2 goal lead. Jake Wahling added an empty net goal in the final minute to round out the scoring.

Morris stopped 24 of the 26 shots he faced. Jake Kielly earned his second shutout of the series for Tri-City with 41 saves.
