CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -

Bloomington shocked the Anderson Cup champion Cedar Rapids Roughriders 5-2 on Friday night, eliminating the top overall seed in game 5.

Cedar Rapids fell behind in the first period as Logan Lambdin scored on a 2 on 1 rush giving the Thunder an early edge. Cedar Rapids knotted it up in the second as Jack Ahcan's shot trickled through the goaltender's legs near the goal line as Will Garrin slapped it in for the 1-1 tie going to the third.

The two teams traded goals midway through the final period before Bloomington's Brogan Rafferty scored what would be the game winner with 5:39 left. The Thunder added a pair of empty net goals late.

Bloomington travels to Dubuque on Friday for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Final.
