Roughriders grab 3-1 win for series advantage over Bloomington

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (KWWL) -

Cedar Rapids scored in every period to knock off Bloomington 3-1 on Friday night. The win gave the Roughriders a 2-1 advantage in their best of 5 series with the Thunder.

After falling behind in the first, Mitch Reinke tallied the equalizing goal at the 17:36 mark. Callahan Burke broke the tie midway through the second with his 3rd goal of the playoffs. Cedar Rapids got an insurance goal from Ross Colton in the final minute to put the game away.

The Roughriders will look to end the series when the two teams meet again in game four on Sunday afternoon.
