Freshman Fleming Leaving Iowa Basketball

For the second time in as many days---Iowa head basketball coach Fran McCaffery is losing a scholarship player.

One day after Brandon Hutton leaves the Hawks.... freshman Andrew Fleming has decided to transfer from Iowa.

Fleming a 6-5 freshman shooting guard from Nashville, Tennessee asked for and was granted a release from his scholarship.

Fleming played sparingly this past season for the Hawkeyes---seeing time in only eleven games---averaging 2 points per contests with his season high of six points against university of Missouri-Kansas City.

In a statement---Fleming thanked coach McCaffery and the staff but said he decided to transfer and seek out a better situation for his career as a college basketball player.
