OKLAHOMA CITY (KWWL) -

It's a shot that'll go down as one of the best in the history of the NCAA Tournament.

Paul Jesperson hit a half court, buzzer beating three to seal an upset victory for the 11th seeded University of Northern Iowa Panthers over the sixth seeded Texas Longhorns.

Turns out the radio call was pretty good too.

Hours after Jesperson hit the shot, not only was the video viral, but Gary Rima's call, the voice of the Panthers for 23 years, was also being heard all over the nation.

"You're just thinking he got the shot off, then all of the sudden you see it bank in, and it's just incredible, and you're just like, you've got to be kidding me!" Rima said.

It's a call that's endeared him to many, in large part due to the sheer jubilation you can hear in his voice.

"You react a lot like the fans do. You see it go in, the excitement, the thrill. Realizing that shot just won the game and it was a half court shot."

Rima says he's been absolutely humbled by the response to his call.

"When you hear people respond like they have to that particular call of that shot, it's special. I have to admit that I never dreamt I would be in that situation or part of a call like that. It's special. I'll remember it for a lifetime, there's no doubt about it," he said.

Rima said that shot instantly took the number one highlight he's seen in his years behind the mic.

"I don't know how they'll ever top that!" he wondered.

Maybe a Matt Bohannon game winner from 3/4 court?

"Maybe just a trip to the sweet 16," he replied.

The Panthers must first take down the third seeded Texas A&M Aggies, and Rima will be on the call once again.
