Dike-New Hartford rolls in to substate final, defeats A-P 56-42

Dike-New Hartford got it done again. The second-ranked Wolverines defeated Aplington-Parkersburg 56-42 to advance to the class 2A substate final. The victory marked DNH's third over the Falcons this season.

Dike-New Hartford used a 15-2 run to erase an early deficit and build a 24-12 lead in the second quarter. They never trailed at any point throughout the rest of the game.

Connor Neuroth led the Wolverine effort with a team high 18 points. Cole Wildeboer chipped in 16 in the victory.

Cade Alberts scored 14 to lead Aplington-Parkersburg.

DNH will put their perfect 24-0 record on the line against 14-9 South Hamilton in the substate final on Saturday in Marshalltown.

Next Saturday, August 26, the Packers head to Denver to play the Broncos at 8:00 p.m. on KWWL. The KWWL News at 10 will run on the CW....
