The second ranked wrestling team split matches at five apiece with number 4 North Carolina State, but lost on bonus points as the Wolfpack spoiled Iowa's perfect season with a 21-17 win.

Thomas Gilman and Brandon Sorenson scored major decisions for the Hawkeyes, but NC State countered with one major, one technical fall, and one forfeit due to an injury default.

Iowa returns to the mat March 5-6 to host the 2016 Big Ten Championships at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
