Man jailed for selling counterfeit goods in Cedar Rapids clearance sale

CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -

A New York man is sentenced to jail for selling police counterfeit merchandise at a clearance sale in Cedar Rapids.

57-year-old Yahya Jawad admitted in court he was selling counterfeit Beats headphones and two counterfeit purses that appeared to be Michael Kors and Louis Vuitton.

Law enforcement officers bought the items from Jawad at the clearance sale.

Law enforcement found and seized more than $150,000 worth of counterfeit goods from Jawad.

Jawad is sentenced to 41 months in prison.
