AMES (KWWL) -

Iowa State football coach Matt Campbell announced on Wednesday that senior wide receiver D'vario Montgomery and sophomore running back Joshua Thomas are no longer part of the Cyclone football program.

Campbell dismissed Montgomery, ISU's 4th leading receiver in 2015, for an unspecified violation of team rules. Montgomery had 27 catches for 335 yards and 3 touchdowns in his junior season.

Thomas, meanwhile, has chosen to transfer to a new school. The sophomore, sitting behind Mike Warren on the depth chart, tallied 295 rushing yards and 7 touchdowns last season.
