AMES (KWWL) -

Iowa State center Jameel McKay, the reigning Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year, has been suspended indefinitely for an unspecified reason.

An Iowa State spokesman confirmed the suspension and said McKay did not travel with the team to the Cyclones' game at Oklahoma State.

While ISU called the suspension indefinite, a 2 word post on McKay's twitter account late Friday said "1 game."

The Cyclones play at Oklahoma State on Saturday at 1:00 pm, and still have critical games on the road this year at Kansas, Baylor, and West Virginia.
