TOKYO, Japan (NBC) -

Nothing says romance like chocolate noodles -- at least, that's what one restaurant in Japan is finding to be true.

In honor of Valentine's Day, Mensho Tokyo is serving up Ramen with a generous serving of chocolate in it. The restaurant's store manager says the chocolate Ramen has proved incredibly popular, with more than 100 orders in the first four days of the dish appearing on the menu.

While chocolate and noodles might seem odd to some, several curious customers say they were pleasantly surprised by the flavor. The chocolate Ramen will be available only at the restaurant until Valentine's Day, and is running for about $7 a bowl.

In Japan, Valentine's Day is celebrated by girls giving chocolate to boys they like, boosting confectionery sales.
