AMES (KWWL) -

Temperatures dipping below minus 10 degrees aren't stopping Iowa State students looking to grab the best seats for the 17th ranked Cyclones tilt with Oklahoma. The Sooners look to be the new #1 team in the nation when the new polls are released on Monday.

Blaine Rockman of Spirit Lake got creative, borrowing his parents' ice fishing shack to stay warm as the first one in line. Rockman parked the shack at Hilton Coliseum on Saturday night, two days before the big Monday match-up with the sooners. Blaine and Tess Bergman of Eagan, Minnesota were manning the heated ice house Sunday afternoon.

"Two people slept here last night," said Bergman, "It got pretty cold on the ground. We've got internet, snacks, sleeping bags, cards, Netflix, and electricity."

The tradition of camping out to get the best seats at Hilton Coliseum has been a long standing tradition at Iowa State.

The Cyclones and Sooners tip off at 8:00 pm on Monday night.
