Free four-year-old preschool registration starts Feb. 1 in Dubuque

Dubuque Community Schools registration for the free four-year-old preschool starts soon.

Parents and guardians can start registering students on Monday, Feb. 1. 

This includes Dubuque’s 12 public schools offering preschool through the Statewide Voluntary Free Preschool Program.

Students can be registered in person on Feb. 1 st the selected school site, which are as follows:

·         Irving and Kennedy elementary schools will begin registration at 7 a.m.

·         Audubon, Bryant, Carver, Eisenhower, Lincoln and Marshall elementary schools will begin registration at 7:30 a.m.

·         Fulton Elementary School will begin registration at 7:45 a.m.

·         Prescott, Sageville and Table Mound elementary schools will begin registration at 8 a.m.

Documents showing proof of age, such as a birth certificate is required to register students. A passport or signed immunization record will also be accepted.

The free four-year-old preschool is open to students who are age four by September 15.

District officials say space may be limited in some schools, so registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Also, all school sites are open to Iowa residents.
