COUNCIL BLUFFS (AP) -

Iowa authorities are searching for a man who failed to return to the Council Bluffs Work Release Facility.

Roger Madsen, 32, was placed on escape status after failing to return to the facility from his place of employment on Thursday.

Madsen is serving a 20-year sentence for prohibited acts involving a controlled substance, two counts of first-degree theft, assault with intent to injure a peace officer and assault with a weapon on a peace officer.
