Governor posts on Facebook about 'Making A Murderer'

MADISON, Wis. (KWWL) -

A convicted killer, who's the focus of a very popular Netflix documentary, won't be pardoned. At least not by Wisconsin's governor.

Tens of thousands of people have signed petitions calling for Steven Avery to be pardoned after seeing 'Making A Murderer.'

Avery is serving life in prison for murder, but claims he didn't do it.

Many people believe him and they're asking President Obama to exonerate Avery, but this was not a federal case.

That leaves it up to Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker.

This week, he posted on Facebook the following: "Viewers of the Netflix series on Steven Avery should read the unanimous opinion of the Court of Appeals before jumping to conclusions."
