Second Baltimore police officer goes on trial in Freddie Gray death
BALTIMORE (AP) -
A second Baltimore police officer goes on trial today for the death of Freddie Gray.
Police van driver Caesar Goodson was with Gray for the 45-minute van trip from the site of his arrest in April to the Western District police station, where Gray arrived critically injured and unresponsive.
He later died of a broken neck. Last month, Officer William Porter became the first of six officers charged to go on trial in Gray's death.
The jury could not reach a decision in Porter's trial.
