DUBUQUE (KWWL) -

The Multicultural Family Center in Dubuque is offering a program for kids to learn about  Mexican culture and traditions through music and dancing.

Participants will learn folkloric dance from the state of Jalisco.  It's said to be the most recognized and symbolic Mexican folkloric dance.

Instructors for the classes are Ray Terronez, Director of Quad Cities Ballet Folklorico and Dubuque community member Yazmin Daleo.

The program is for boys and girls in 2nd through 8th grades.

It starts Saturday, Jan. 23 and is free, but there might be a small fee to help cover costs of the costumes.
