Griffey Jr., Piazza inducted into Baseball Hall of Fame

There are two new members in the National Baseball Hall of Fame.  Ken Griffey Jr. and Mike Piazza were elected today.  

Griffey Jr. played between 1989 and 2010 for the Seattle Mariners, Cincinnati Reds, and Chicago White Sox.  He set a new record for voter percentage, garnering 99.3% of the vote.

Piazza played between 1992 and 2007 for multiple teams, including the New York Mets.  He finished with 83% of the votes.

A player needs 75% of the votes to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
