CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -

The University of Northern Iowa is continuing its search for a new athletic director.

The university is now working with Collegiate Sports Associates out of North Carolina to find the right fit for the position.

The company is founded by it's current president Todd Turner.

“I am pleased to have Todd’s depth and breadth of experience in helping UNI search for the next director of athletics,” said Michael Hager, UNI's senior vice president for finance and operations and chair of the search committee. “Todd understands the important role of academics in the lives of our student athletes.”

Turner has held the position of athletic director at the University of Connecticut, North Carolina State University, Vanderbilt University and the University of Washington.

Prior to founding Collegiate Sports Associates, he was a member of numerous NCAA committees and advisory boards.

Jean Berger is serving as UNI’s interim director of athletics. She replaces Troy Dannen, who left UNI to be the athletic director at Tulane University in New Orleans.
