Gas prices in Iowa still pleasing at the pump

Gas prices in Iowa have fallen 0.5 cents per gallon in the past week to an average of $1.87 a gallon Sunday, according to GasBuddy's latest report.

The national average fell 0.5 cents in the last week to $1.99 a gallon.

GasBuddy reports gas prices in and around Iowa as follows:

Areas nearby Iowa and their current gas price climate:
 Quad Cities- $1.80/g, up 1.5 cents per gallon from last week's $1.78/g.
 Des Moines- $1.93/g, down 1.6 cents per gallon from last week's $1.95/g.
 Omaha- $1.88/g, down 0.5 cents per gallon from last week's $1.88/g.

Prices Sunday were 16.9 cents a gallon lower than the same day one year ago, and 17.6 cents per gallon lower than a month ago.
