UPDATE: One injured and three arrested in Waterloo shooting

One person is in the hospital and three people are arrested after a shooting behind Club 319 in Waterloo.

According to Waterloo police Ramarez Maurice Gary, 31, went to Allen Memorial Hospital with gunshot wounds to his leg. He is expected to survive.

Officers responded to a bar on 4th St after receiving a report that no one would leave. This was shortly before 2 a.m.

While at the bar, officers noticed several people in an alley in the area of Lafayette and Sycamore. As officers approached they heard guns being fired. Many people ran off. 

While responding to the call an officer fired their weapon but did not hit anyone. According to police, the officer was firing at an armed suspect.

Waterloo police arrested Kristopher Darquel Spates Jr, 22, and charged him with Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon, Carrying Weapons, Going Armed with Intent, and Interference with Official Acts.

They also arrested Davion Everette Madlock, 16, and Doncorrion Deangelo Spates,15, and charged them with Carrying Weapons.
