After weeks of waiting, the Rose Bowl is finally just around the corner.

But there's something that happens before the big game that Hawkeye fans won't want to miss: The 127th rose parade.

Tomorrow the big game starts at 4 in the afternoon.

Before that is the Rose Bowl Parade. Volunteers are putting the final touches on their floats today.

The theme for this year's parade is find your adventure, and the goal is to shine light on the nation's national parks.

It sure looks like the Hawkeye float is following along with the nature theme.

It has approximately 4-thousand flowers on it.

The float is 35 feet long and 18 feet wide.

According to Los Angeles Daily News, there will be 44 floral floats, 19 equestrian teams, and 20 bands in the parade.

The grand marshal will be award-winning filmmaker Ken Burns.

He's spent almost 40 years  making documentary films.
