Man accused of stealing garbage truck and damaging business

CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -

Early this morning, Cedar Falls police responded to a burglary alarm at Wheels Unlimited Auto Sales on Center Street.

When officers arrive, they noticed damage to the front of the building and someone inside the building. 

Black Hawk County deputies later arrived, and one of their canines discovered Curt Douglas Widen.

Widen was taken into custody.

He is accused of stealing a garbage truck, and using it to damage and enter the business. 

Widen was charged with burglary and theft.
