Cats saved after living in hoarder home

Six cats were rescued after living in a hoarder home.

One Eastern Iowa adoption center has been working to keep these cats alive.

Waverly Pet Rescue discovered there were 25 to 30 cats living in a hoarder home.

They were only able to help 7 of the cats.

Sadly one of the seven cats Waverly Pet Rescue was trying to save passed away.

They named her Astrea after the Goddess of Justice.

Carissa Shima has been the foster mom for the cats.

When these cats came to the vet, they were underweight, flea infested, and very dirty.

A few of the six cats still have ringworm.

But after a few more weeks of medication and care, the cats will be ready for adoption.

They are very loving and patient.
