Martin Shkreli, the disgraced CEO of drug maker Turing Pharmaceuticals, resigns from the company Friday, following arrest and fraud charges.
Shkreli was arrested Thursday accused of fraud schemes he used to illegally pay of his debts.
Ron Tilles, the chairman of the board of the privately held company, will serve as interim chief executive until a formal replacement is named, according to a Turing news release.
Shkreli gained notoriety earlier in the year when he upped the price of a life-saving drug by 5,000% from $13.50 a pill to $750 each.
