As Star Wars fans head to movie theaters all over the country, some theaters are upping security. Some movie theaters in Iowa stayed open all night so fans could get their chance to see the movie -- some going more than one.

KWWL decided to send reporter Amanda Gilbert and photographer Blake Lybbert to see the movie to get a fan's perspective on the movie of the year. She shares her thoughts...

It lived up to the hype. In fact this movie is so big, the theater is offering showtimes for 24 straight hours. One of the theater managers tells me shes worked here for 8 years and she's never seen the theater stay open this long for a movie before.

My photographer and i saw the star wars showing at 1 A.M. We saw a lot of people wearing Star Wars pajamas.

The theater was very full. In fact the general manager says the first two showings last night were sold out. and after that the theaters have been around 80 to 90 percent full.

After the showing we saw, everyone clapped.
