DUBUQUE (KWWL) -

The Dubuque Salvation Army received a big boost this week, thanks to an anonymous donor.

Our coverage partners at TH Media report a gold coin worth $1,100 and two rings valued at $450, were dropped into the kettle outside of Eagle Country Market on Monday.

“We struck gold,” Salvation Army Maj. Tom Mason told TH Media. “It’s always a big thing for us. Everybody kept looking for that (last year).”
