Former Hawkeye signs $42 million deal

Former Iowa Hawkeye standout Mike Daniels is making a name for himself in the NFL and now, he'll get paid like one of the best at his position.

Adam Schefter of ESPN is reporting the Green Bay Packers have signed defensive end Mike Daniels to a four-year, $42 million extension.

The deal reportedly pays him $22 million in the first 15 months and makes him one of the highest paid 3-4 defensive ends.

Daniels was a two-year starter at Iowa, earning All-Big Ten Conference recognition following each of his last two seasons as a Hawkeye.
