Funeral arrangements have been announced for Dubuque banking executive Bob Peacock, who died Saturday evening in Perry, Ga.

Peacock, 60, was an executive vice president and director of compliance and risk management at American Trust & Savings Bank. He and wife Diane were watching the University of Iowa football game on television while visiting his son, Clint, daughter-in-law, Emily, and grandson Owen when Peacock became faint and collapsed, said American Trust spokeswoman Peg Hudson.

A funeral Mass for Peacock will be at 10:30 on Friday, December 11, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 1870 St. Ambrose St., Dubuque. Visitation will be from 2-7 p.m. Thursday at the church.

“All I can tell you is that I lost a really good friend the other night,” said Charles Schrup, co-chairman of the board and chief development officer at American Trust. “He’s going to be sorely missed by me and the people at the bank and the community.”

Peacock was a past chairman of the Dubuque Area Chamber of Commerce. He also was a former member of the Asbury, Iowa, City Council.

“We’re reeling. We’re hurting. It’s still surreal,” said Dubuque Area Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Molly Grover. “We lost a member of our chamber family and we have a hole in our hearts.”
