DUBUQUE (KWWL) -

A mess left behind, spilled gas, rocks and a broken fence at the home of 82-year-old Harold Price.

"Well I wasn't sure what happened at first till I saw the headlights underneath the tree upside down and the headlights on the car never did go off," said Price.

Price and his wife, along with their handicapped son were inside their home on the 50 block of Stetmore Street in Dubuque when police say 24-year old James Brown led them on a chase Friday night.

Brown led them around the block a of couple times before the Toyota 4Runner lost control, rolling on its top.

"He didn't make the curb here when he come around, wiped out my fence and ended up upside down underneath the tree," added Price.

Skid marks on the ground are still visible from the car as it tried to get away from police.  There's also tire marks in the yard, and even what looks like a piece of debris from the car.

Police say there were four people inside the car, including the driver. One of them was taken  to Mercy Hospital because of pain to her head.

As for the Price family...they're all okay, except for the tree Harold Price has been growing for many years.

"Kinda busted the tree up. My last tree, last blue spruce I owned, worked hard to get it, to keep it here and now the branches are all busted in on it...fence all busted up," he said.

The damages are estimated to cost about $6,000.

Brown was arrested, has been charged with eluding, not having a valid driver's license, and reckless driving.
