IOWA CITY (KWWL) -

The University of Iowa has called one of their web programs Iowa Student Information System for decades -- but is now facing backlash over it.

The program is regularly referred to as the acronym ISIS, which concerns some students and faculty considering recent attacks around the world by a terrorist group of the same name.

Many students say the name doesn't offend them, but some people at the university insist the name of the program be changed.

The school says they will consider changing the name after compiling expense estimates, and will reveal their decision soon.
