The Northern York County Regional Police Department released dash cam video showing how close one officer came to being shot in the head by a suspect.

Officer Lynn Anderson pulled a suspect over, who is identified as Trev Jackson, in a shopping center for suspicion of driving under the influence.

Anderson asked Jackson for his license. Moments later, Anderson asks Jackson to step out of the car and put his hands behind his back.

When Anderson gets close, Jackson turns around and tries to shoot the officer in the face. Anderson immediately runs away from the car to cover. Jackson drove away and abandoned the car a mile from the shooting scene.

The suspect remains on the loose.
