WATERLOO (KWWL) -

Voters will be heading back to the polls Tuesday in Waterloo and Cedar Falls.

In Waterloo, voters will have a choice between Quentin Hart and Tim Hurley.

Hurley says this election hinges on two things, voter turnout and where those votes from the other candidate land. He says he is experienced, having spent three terms in that mayors seat.

Hart says he has experience, spending eights years on the council, six of those years as mayor pro tem.

"I just hope people don't sit at home thinking well it's a done deal one or the other because it isn't. I think this will be a very close race and turnout in all five wards," said Hurley.

"Exercise your voice to let the community know which type of leadership that you prefer and the direction you'd like your community head in," said Hart.

Hurley believes this election could be a historic one. If Hart wins, he would be the first minority mayor. If Hurley wins, he believes he'd be the first mayor to retire and then come back and run again.
